Would you think these are original NOS? Seems they have a lot of NOS manuals. I can see it has the correct white binding, and not the reprint transparent binding.

If Dave says it is NOS, BE CAREFUL. He sells euro and U.S lenses he claims are nos, some of them are not.

Here's a bit of food for thought:
Can a manual - or any piece of literature, for that matter - truly be considered NOS? It's not really something that can be "used" like a hard part (i.e. crank, rods, wheels, etc.), so there's really no way to label it as NOS.
Perhaps a different rating scale is in order....????

They were selling an "NOS" 1967S manual for $179 that was clearly for a
'68S (printed X-67) - no response or revision when I pointed this out to them.

I recently had a "real" 2.2S manual and a NOS 2.2S manual in my hands.
Both had white binding and have been sold to me trough swiss dealer AMAG who recently ceased to import Porsche into Switzerland and sold its stock.
The one which was NOS had a slightly darker purple color than the "real" one.
I beleive the NOS are re-printed some years later (74-80) but still distributed trough the factory and dealers - therefore they are replacement factory NOS.
They might changed to transparent binder in early 80ies. A one to one compare test might be the only solution to be shure. My guess the pic on ebay shows a correct NOS w slightly darker purple color.

Maybe like the bible?
NOS might be the Guttenburg or equivalent.
A better indicator might be the original printing or revision date or part number. But maybe not.
