    12/2008 European Car Magazine

Anyone pic up this Months copy of European Car? A guy named Les Bidrawn did an article on his 69 911R. Pretty Car! Keeps up with the new stuff IMO. Guy writes like an old school purist. Still races the car, pretty cool. Is he on this forum?

Les is the editor-in-chief for EC, he's relatively new to that role but he's been a writer for that magazine for a long time.

    The 69 isn't HIS car, it's Rob Dickerson's.

Thanks Geoff. The article just gives me ideas. I keep looking at those Bilsteins, but holding onto the Koni's. It's amazing that car has 250K, and they are able drive it that hard today. Just impressive.
I just got the latest copy of Excellence, and was reading an article called Quick Change Artist, and another one showing the restoration of a 73S. Cool to see the old cars coming out in force. Other than the Esses, it's hard to find print on the old ones.

I'll go ck the stands for this mag today but you guys are talking about Rob "Dickinson's", not Dickerson', 69 beast?

    Longevity and high mileage...
[slightly off-topic] I remember back in the GGR LPR early days (1973-76)and then in '91 (when I was the GGR Nugget editor) I autocrossed with Terry Zaccone. His '68 911L Marcel back THEN musta had around 275k on the clock, egads might be close to 500k now?

Terry carving it up in Marcel at a PCA-GGR autocross.

Also, before our old '76 Carrera 3.0 targa left the US to go back to europe again for it's third life it was showing 750,000km+ on the odometer... and STILL quick as ever if not a little more flexy than normal
