I recently bought a center fill tank from TRE for about a grand. A repro tank with extended filler neck, internal locking cap and external finned cap. Its not a RS/Rally tank, but it does the job.

    Bought one from Dave.

I did it the easy way.... I've shipped the car to Dave at TRE and he is going to do the seats and sliders, center fill gas tank, cut the hood, door handles, R strut bar, battery relocation, tidy up electricals and a bunch of other fun stuff.

Dave and his shop are top notch. Too bad you didn't do this for Treffen. I'm sure the mid west guys would have loved the company.
See if you can get a ride in Dave's daily driver a 914-6. It has the sweetest running 46s I've ever heard.
