Need RH rocker sheetmetal pronto, alternatives to Restoration Design?

    Hi All,

My body shop guy just informed me that there are massive holes in the right side rocker panel of my project car. The rocker trim hid them nicely, so this is news to me. He has the spray booth rented for Monday and needs the part by Friday to get everything ready over the weekend.

Restoration Design has not answered my phone calls or replied to my emails for 2 days, which is their usual practice after reading about them here. Are they the only source of replacement panels at this point? Pelican says they are NLA.

    Thanks for any help.

Dansk. No direct experience, just hearsay. It's what the best body guy
down Melbourne way told me he'd use.

    rocker panels

If you use Dansk, [ugh] pay attention to the distance out to match the door. The Dansk seem to be more narrow than the factory rockers, perhaps to leave the top flange of the original outer rocker and just weld the Dansk one over the old one. When I removed all of the original outer rocker the Dansk one was too far inboard to match the door, necessitating 1/4 inch of rocker schutz [!#*?!] to match the door. I dont like Dansk parts, they are second rate at best. Perhaps you can find later model factory rockers with indents and fill in the indents although I have not done this myself.

I have the forward 2/3 of a Stoddard piece if that helps. BTW, Stoddard rockers seemed to fit reasonably well. PM's are slow for me so just email to my username at yahoo.com
