    Looking for 911 race/track car

I am helping a friend finding an 911 race/track car, either early or 1974. Should be well sorted and ideally street legal.

I know of a 1970E that, when built, qualified for VARA and HSR historical racing. It was a California car that was so perfect it should have been a crime to make it a race car - many of the takeoff parts were used to build my 1970 hotrod.

The car is all steel save for the rear decklid, it's completely caged and completely bare inside BUT can still be registered for road use - it was registered for some time after the conversion and the harnesses for the turn signals and headlights are still in the car. Body was sand blasted and powder coated, it has a 901 trans with custom gears, 7" wheels (and a full set of spares), turbo brakes, and it's fully sorted but has been sitting for a few seasons unused. Comes with a trailer.

Asking price for total package is $25K. Car is located in CA.

My father built the car for our customer in 2000/01 and it was used in a few events before the guy lost interest.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

    Peter,

I would be willing to discuss my vintage track/street legal 70 coupe that I just finished this fall - everything and I mean everything brand new. If interested further shoot me a PM.

    Thanks,
