2.2 connecting rod part #s...all the same thing?

If anyone can help shed some light on this issue, it would be much appreciated as I'm puzzled. I've seen 3 different versions of 2.2 connecting rod part #s out there:

911.103.013.21 (21-28 depending on weightings) from the 71 catalog

and then I've seen various sets for sale out there that have:

    911.103.011.32 and 911.103.103.OR

Is it that these rods are the same for 70-71 or even 69-71 and that each year has a different part #?

There are the part number variations you describe as to different weight groups, the number ending in OR is a casting number and has nothing to do with the part numbers. It was probably part of the forging blank at the factory where the rods were made so the workers could identify which manufacturer they went to, since they made rods for others also. (that's a only an unsubstantiated theory on my part) Then there were probably part number differences for the "S" rods that had an additional heat treating (nitriding) Dimensionally all 2.2 rods would be the same.
