    73 RS engine 6630610

Inspired by Clyde finding the engine to Stacy's car, I have RS engine # 6630610. It belongs to car # 911360581. I have checked and never found that car on any registry U.S.A. or Europe. It was one of the few NO OPTION cars first delivered to Italy. I bought it at a swap meet many years ago. If the car ever surfaces, I'd be glad to work with the owner to get his engine back.

Maybe one of our Italian friends could check what happened to the car in Italy? Do you have goverment records available for vehicles in Italy back to 73? If the car was exported maybe it is possible to follow its tracks from there.

I have no records. Maybe only the engine came over in some other car back in the gray market days. Possibly the original car was wrecked, and the engine went into something else and then got shipped over here. I matched up the chassis using the RS book and finding the engine number and matching chassis.

    Good Source

Rick, I checked at the web site below, and could not find this chassis number. THIS is a GREAT resource.

Rick, I have a list of all the Rs originally delivered to Italy but on this one I have nothing. Maybe exported many years ago.
    Thanks for the information.

Probably the car was crashed early in it's life and sent to a junkyard. The guy I bought it from had no idea what he even had. I did.
