    Early 911 motor on eBay

    Currently in a 914. I have no idea if it is worth anything to anybody...but here it is nonetheless.

    1965 911 2.0l engine 1 of 235 ever produced, pulls very very strong and DOES NOT LEAK!!!! (engine number 902862)

    Thanks for the heads up, as I'm always interested in a '65 motor.

    Unfortunately, the kid (as he puts it) read just enough about 1965 Porsches to get himself in trouble. It is frustrating how many people misinterpret Peter Morgan's facts in "The Original 911"

    This serial number motor came out of a '66 MY that was probably produced in January or February of 1966.

    Love that "Pop-out sunroof" in the removable Targa panel ........ that's trick

    The GT2 vent behind the passenger door is also RAD !!!

    Thanks for clearing it up. I figured that everything other than the serial number in that ad was probably in error...

    Still, maybe someone with a 66' will be interested.

    That is a centerlube 901/01 from around September, 1965, which would have been in 1966 production, with Solexes of course.

    NOT a 232 motor, naturlich. . .
