For the archives...recently I was able to get in touch with previous (second) owner of my car, which was purchased from Queensboro/Long Island City Porsche in May of 1970. Amazingly, he had both original license plate frames, which shall soon be reunited with the car:

I remember the dealership in LIC and stopped by there several times in the late '60s/early '70s as it was only about 20 miles from my home. I was not impressed by either the facility or its surroundings.

    Following.

On the basis of records indicating service on the North Shore (Riverhead Bay Motors; not listed as a dealer in the early '70s, got out of Porsches in 2010 and currently only Subaru/VW) and a parking garage sticker from the Lower East Side, my 70T's PO (the only PO) might have bought the car either in Manhattan or somewhere on Long Island. As an April 1970 build, no Kardex available so haven't tried to find out more.
