    '69-'73 Door Pocket price check

What does one have to pay these days for nice or NOS pockets?

    Thanks.

The prices are all over. I think Porsche vintage still has them new for $450 apiece. That would be $1800 for all for pieces complete. Used, price depends on condition. A good usable single swing out pocket $75-200. Again, depending on condition. The fixed pockets are in less demand, so a touch less.

    dashboards also.

    Thanks Rick.
I feel stupid, I assumed that they were NLA.

How about dashboards? Is there any discussion about an independent source tooling up for a dashboard that fits? After seeing prices in excess of $3500 for nice ones (very nice ones!), the time may be here to take up this endeavor.

There's nothing better than NOS door pockets. Every used one I've seen is not good enough for a restoration. $ 2000.00 is what I paid four 4 new door pockets. It hurt to do it but I'm glad I did. -Scott

I would assume it would be find the part you need here and go to the dealer and order it?

You can get the adjustible pockets from Performance Products Magazine....
    automotion.com........I caught a "sale ". They normally go for $ 650 a piece..I think I got 10 % off.......

...and Porsche dealers can order both the adjustible and stationery pockets.....
last I checked the stationery pockets were going for $ 440 a piece.....

    Frank,
The dashs are also available @ $1369 dealer list. Problem is they don't fit. Other says they had no problem.(can't understand). 90% of the posters here have to fit them. You have to drill new mounting holes, and shave off a ton of extra material where the mounting studs go through the body. They have made a small improvement where they leave extra material around the defroster ducts so you can cut to your needs. First one took me 6 hours to fit. It's not 100%,only about 95%. Next one would go quicker, and might be perfect.
As far as Porsche Vintage, go to Stoddard's web site.
