    button on rer of car

This was posted on another thread. I'd like to know what that button is that the red line points to. It appears to be a plug of some sort and is not seen on the other side.

Maybe to plug a hole for mounting a rear fog light.

There was somthing familiar about the photo posted above with the capped bumper end, the "closed-up" license plate panel and the button, in question. When I looked a little closer through my photo files, I ran across this shot of a car I think is the one actually shown above. Please don't ask me where I got this shot, because I can't for the life of me remember. I do know I did not take it, rather copied and pasted because I thought it's a very neat treatment of that area of the early 911s......and still do. Can't make out the mystery button too well, but that sure looks like the car.

    Anyone ?

    Yes

it is a photo of Raj's car RS 9113600001 which is a factory (pre RS production) conversion of the ex Zasada ST rallye car but numbered by the factory as a RS,

Given its history it is sure to have some strange pieces on it.

I am sure Raj can enlighten you as to the purpose of this "button" or indeed if it is just a plug in a pre existing hole.
