When did the key fobs with Porsche metal enamel crest first get made in Germany ? Perhaps the early CUD ones preceded West German-made ones with the metal crest?

I’m curious to see what evidence exits as to the German manufacturers age compared to the date range from evolving “Castles” logo in the book extract I’ve attached.

Quite narrow tie so assume 60s before fashion for wider ties during the 70s although old established maker was probably less influenced by fashion than most

Make some fine products including things like this so presumably a few branded ties weren’t exactly pushing them to hard :

Same material same maker but different widths of necktie reflecting changing clothing fashions:

Don’t need two but not sure which to keep and which to sell.

Any fashionistas here who know about such trends — might skinnier be the 60s and the wider early 70s?

The thinner one is probably more suitable attire for the Goodwood Revival which has a date limit coinciding with the Duke closing the race track around 1966.

Definitely keep the skinny tie as it is earlier and is pretty timeless.

Vintage lockable briefcase with original Porsche crest, believed to be former property of an official U.K. Dealer Principal — very apt and handy item for keeping some of the original paperwork relating to my RHD 73 RS. I received a bundle of neat things from the person who sold and collected that car from the sole British concessionaire together with its first owner very early in calendar 1973 when it was brand new — he was retiring from the automotive business many decades later so clearing out old original dealer papers and other interesting items. I’m in touch with the car’s first owner who still lives at address in the original logbook etc as well as that salesperson who told me he sold six RHD RS when the model was new and impressively he could, unprompted, still recall the six RS customer’s names!

One example of many pages: 23 official dealers on this Dealers List categorised into area and tiers: main, retail or service named with locations (25 if include those in Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands) according to this typed on old school imperial foolscap size paper from PCGB the sole Porsche concessionaire dated January 73 at time my RS was delivered. Handwritten annotation where an address had changed so more accurate than the service locations handbook
