    Milou,

The 2.2 poster... was this the one on eBay recently out of the UK?

Is it on the thicker paper stock like the other posters of the era or is it thinner? For some reason it looks a bit thinner than the usual paper. Maybe it's all the white space.

    Paper

I've just had the 2.2 poster reframed so hard to check but the paper could be thinner than usual.

The composition is also very unusual but it works in the flesh.

Could have been produced for a car show or just a presentation event? It uses an existing photo taken from the brochure which actually shares the same heading on a very simple white cover:

I think your theory is very likely.

What size is it? 1970 is an odd year for poster sizes... some are the std. 30x40 and some are the larger 33x46.

Will check the precise dimensions and report back. I'm curious to find out if it was a standard showroom poster or not.

Another interesting item is this Porsche vinyl bag containing a blanket.

It was given in the late Sixties, as a gift, to clients picking up their cars at the factory on the Porsche tourist delivery program:

    Wink 2.2 Poster

The poster is the large standard size 32 x 48 in.

I cannot find any markings or reference, but the paper does seem thinner, so it could be a temporary showroom poster?

The quality of the image and the layout certainly seem to confirm it comes from the factory.

No doubt from me it's a factory poster although 32x48 is not a size I have ever seen from Porsche before. 33x46ish (some are 33x46.5) is as large as I have seen them and they were that size from 1961-1970.

I think you're spot on with the temporary idea. It makes sense to tell everyone the engines are bigger and then later in the year to replace the poster with something else.

Sorry about the approx. size, I converted it myself from cm. so I'm probably off by an inch or two.

It's the same size (but landscape format) as the other two posters shown on the above photograph.

Nice one Carl. Here are some additions:

    - Vic winning the Targa in 68. I like the fact Porsche showed the driver and not the car:

    - 908/3 Magnesium wheel, also used at the Targa Florio but in 1970:

    - 911R Manual...one of the rarest item I think. This one is in German:
