    Richard,

It's the first time I see another bag like this too! Did you take delivery of your 912 at the factory or local dealer in America? I'm trying to determine the context for which these bags were given. I have an old blanket in mine but cannot confirm it came with the bag 40 years ago.

I also have some vintage literature, mobilia and other stuff, just waiting for my garage to be ready...next year, maybe? But it's nothing compared to Milou's astonishing collection! Anyway, here's some bits from my collection:

It's unused, all the containers are unopened and towels are pristine and clean.

    Richard,

It must have been a great experience, I can see how one would not forget easily!

Thank you for the information, which confirms the information on the vinyl bag I own.

They were both gifted in 1968 by the factory as part of the Tourist Delivery Program. I'm curious to see if other bags will surface here in the future.

The information one can obtain on this forum is outstanding!

    Wink Schorndorf 2010

Today was the Straehle Meeting in Schorndorf, just outside of Stuttgart.

It is a European version of the LA Porsche Lit. & Toy Show, and is organized by Marco Marinello. It is a lot of fun as every year old collectors show up with rare unseen things.

A couple of weeks ago I was able to travel to the home of Patrick's original owners, Bob and Wilma White, and bring home some treasures from the past. They are down sizing into a much smaller place and asked if I would be interested in a few things like......

The 2nd place in class trophy they won at the '73 Monterey Parade. (sorry for the poor quality I will put up a better photos later today)

The next one is from the following year at the Pocono. This time they were 1st in class and 2nd overall, just missing the Manhattan Trophy.

And this one is from the year after that in Seattle. Again 2nd in class and quite a nice looking totem pole I might add.

Actually the Parade has a long tradition of creating the Concour trophies with a local flair. The plate from '73 is made by Couroc of Monterey (a unique plastic material) and the totem was hand carved by a Native American from a NW tribe. The Pocono trophy escapes me though.
