I need help from the foglight gods

I was doing the happy dance today. I found a box with a pair of NOS 128 Hellas that I bought from Stoddards around 1980. I had "put them away" I did such a good job putting them away, I could not find them again, until this morning Merry Christmas to me!!!

I dissasembled and found a 35 watt standard style bulb. The reflectors are yellow and the lens is clear. the lenses are fluted, the non V style. I have been doing searches and one post suggests that this type of lense is only used with a h3 bulb and the tungsten bulb should have V lenses. Is this correct? I found, a classified for a set of used 128s that specifies the reflector as be "oben". I found that text on the reflector in my lights. What exactly is oben? A search for boen found a broken link to a "curved glass manufacturer. My car is a 67 Europe delivery car, what style of 128 is correct for my car?

I have both the 128s and TTG fog lights. Neither is currently mounted and my Kardex does not list fog lights. Did the factory ever equip cars with both? Who is running both and how did you wire, same switch, with a relay. A second switch and 2 relays?

    thanks tom

I'm not exactly a foglight god but I think I'm probably qualified to make two points:

    1. Hella 128 foglights would have been standard on your '67 911S so they probably wouldn't be enumerated as an option on your Kardex or CoA
    2. Use relays! Whether Porsche would have installed extra relays in 1967 or not, they'll prevent excess current damaging 41 year old switches.

    Jim, thanks for the response

I did not realize they were standard. That explains why I have the correct factory switch in the dash and the factory harness and no mention on the Kardex. I always wondered about that.

I have reviewed the PET and the lightining section does not shed much detail on the specifics of the fog lights

I know someone here knows every nuance. I would love to hear it. tom

I checked my '65 wiring diagram (the shop manual also has a '67, but not much changed so I didn't bother digging it out). There's no relay in the foglight circuit. But, installing some would be very helpful to those 41 year-old switches.
