Need Value of 69-71 911S Oil Cooler

A friend owns this, and is thinking about using it on his SC, since Stoddard list a new one at over $4,500, I'm thinking that he needs let someone with a real need have it and maybe go with a B&B or something. Your thoughts on a fair price or should he go ahead & use it on the SC??

Hi,

you can buy these new in Germany (Porsche AG or Freisinger) for around 1500 Euro. Most of the used ones are leaking or have debris inside which would damage the engine, even if they look good from the outside. Especially where the hoses are mounted the aluminum easily cracks. I have two of those.
So, if this one is not leaking (test would be necessary) and professionally cleaned inside I would value it with 400 - 500 Euro.
Actually I am looking for a good one for my 911 S restoration project So if someone has a good one I would be happy to get in contact!
