That's about as low as I have ever seen the Blues fly...I thought they generally only push it that far in front of their "own" crowd at graduation in Annapolis.
You can actually see the water behind/below them disturbed. That is cool.
Sorry to burst the bubble, but that photo is totally photoshopped.

Scott,
I hate to call "BS" on you, but this is a real photo from an event that has at least a dozen videos on youtube to back it up.
The Blue Angels were putting on a display in Monaco and this #5 Hornet did go sonic at about 50 feet (leaving a wake) in front of thousands of spectators.
Unfortunately, the Blue Angels are not allowed to go super-sonic at low altitudes over US soil because too many pussies whine about a few busted windows.
I love the video and watch it often (in fact, just showed it to jAshford while typing this response) I do not know how to link videos but I'm sure that you can find several versions of this event on you tube!

If anyone would like to email me, I will happily send you the short video that I have (.wmv format)
Its pretty impressive !!

I was at graduation last June at the Academy and saw the "Blues" there. They push it up the river at those altitudes, but not for long due to the bridges. If you don`t get goosebumps from them, you better get your pulse checked!

Tom,
I try to take my sons to the air show at the Academy graduation every year, and unfortunately, the "PC" crowd won't even allow the Hornets to go super-sonic for the cadets.
Oh well ......... we still have you tube

My billet was in the tower at the winter home of the Blues, A4s back then.
Twice a day practices for a few months, twice a day on takeoff the solos rolled at 100 feet agl over the runway overrun, one clean one dirty.
Is that photo from a Seattle show?
nice shadow in the water too…
Anyone have the links to this air show video?
Wow! Cool
Thanks for the video
Monaco has all the fun. F1 in the streets, incluing the classic F1 race, and Blue Angels over the harbor.
