    WTB: 10K Tach

I'm looking for a 10K tach that would not look too out of place in a '69 S with a 2.9L motor.

    Anyone have one for sale?

    Thanks for looking.

Since I've just been down this road . . . your 69 has a unique retaining clamp that screws on the back of the gauge. If this is something you want to preserve then you need to find a 1969 Tach. and the chances of finding a 10K Tach that has the clamps will likely be difficult. Also if your running an MSD with that motor chances are you will need a Tach that is MSD compatible.

My solution was to send my correct 1969 Tach to North Hollywood Speedo which they converted to 10K and made MSD compatible. Works as expected.

I opt'd to convert a 1969 tach so it would fit and function exactly the same as my other guages (yes with those clamps).

North Hollywood does nice work too.

    All the best,

unless you want an NOS there are plenty of rebuilt ones for around 320 - 400 euro on ebay germany. Just search for "911 Drehzahlmesser 10000"

I have a used 2.2 911S tachometer that has the same mounting studs on the back as your car. I don't think it works so this would be a good one to use as a core for NHS. I'll take $255 for it including shipping in the US if you're interested.

    Thanks,

    Mike
