Touring RS cars have identical internal trim to all S models of 1973. Rollbar was not STD fitting on touring

I will let the experts tell you more about the lightweights suffice to say they are very different in carpet, seats etc

The light weight was called an RSH Here is the interior list differences. Door panels no pockets or arm rests. no door top garnish rails, no glove box door, no lower dash trim, no rubber on knobs, no clock but a plastic filler piece, padded steering wheel 914 part number, thumb screw bucket seats, only one visor on drivers side, black headliner, no rear seats, light weight carpet, rubber mats, foot rest with rubber insert, no sound deadening on rear deck under carpet, no trunk carpet, no coat hooks. If you can find one buy the Carrera RS book by Gruber and Konradsheim. Thanks Ron

Thats actually not quite right:

There were 3 RS models not counting the 2.8 RSR


RSH (Homolgation) was the lightest possible weight car for an RS and I think around 17 were delivered in this configuration. All cars started out as RSH cars before being weighed and rebuilt to customer order.

The RS (M471 Lightweight) had a few bits added and weighed around 20kgms more than the RSH

The RS (M472 Touring) was where the bulk of the cars were ordered and weighed around 100kg more than the M 471

As Clyde stated.. m471 interiors had a few extra adding kilo's.
RSH was the state the cars were in as they were homolagated. They were then converted to m471 or m472 touring so your discription of a lightweight interior is not fully correct.
One of the few remaining RSH is in my shop currently getting a freshen up.

Here's a good example. There are several items changed from original in this RSH model, like the glove box door (which is not a factory part on this car), floor mats, button in the middle of the clock hole block-off, fire suppression system, etc.
