    Value of a 904

After I started visiting this site, I have been more and more interested in the old racing cars. My personal favorite is the 904, and wonder what they are worth at the moment??

I am no real fan of replicas, but for the first time in my life I actually think about it. I know they are made in the US, but think the most authentic are made in UK: http://www.904GTS.co.uk/

The current price for a real 904 is $1-$1.3 milion. If you see one for less you are either lucky or have to be careful w/ what you get offered.

I love the looks of the 904, and I love the fact that they can be street registered. I wonder if I would fit in one (I'm 6'2" and have a bit of a long term beer storage facility around my middle).

As far as 904 replica's go...I have seen Check Beck's 904 replica and it looks pretty nice...with 5 lug Fuchs and whatever flat six you desire in there.

Brad- I'm also 6'2 and have been lucky enough to sit in one. You'll fit
in with a shoehorn, but you won't drive it long!

A 904 sold at Bonham's Goodwood Revival auction in September for something over $800,000. I saw it, it was a beautiful car with non-factory race history and great patina, but it had a non-original (2.8 RSR) engine.
