With an opening bid of $25K??? Why in the world would you start it there?

I always thought the IROC's were 74's because of the G style bumpers but they were indeed 73's. I don't think that is a real IROC but a recreation.
Phil
At least a couple of reasons:
(1) "this car is a faithful recreation" - it's not the original car.
(2) They're just using eBay as an ad to make the folks who are going to be in Scottsdale attending the auctions that the car is for sale in the local area.
Back to #1... What are the differences between the terms clone, recreation, tribute and homage when applied to non-original cars? Back in the day they were all pretty much called clones. Is it just semantics?
Cheers,

"its better to wear out then rust out"
Silly me, I didn't even see the "faithful recreation" at the bottom of the ad!! That explains the opening bid price...

That's my take also, John.
They certainly didn't give much of a description of the car they listed.
Engine? Suspension? etc.
