    Blaupunkt Emden "b"

I know that radios were dealer installed items back in the day and that my car was fairly low optioned. How fesable is it that this was correct/installed upon inital delvery?

I have found a few items online about the "b" that does not convince me that this radio should be in my car.

Firstly, this radio is "for" a VW Beetle...

    Secondly, the "b" was a '70MY Radio.

For Ref. Italian Ebay Listing- Any good info?

    Thank you all,
    -Andrew

    No solid thoughts on this.

How about replacement by a Becker Europa [Stereo]? I read an earlier post in an RS thread that said chrome ringed knobs were MB units.

I guess the body/housing would be close...just change the knobs and face plate?

    Beckers

No faceplate trim if the Europa is a DIN mount like the Mexico. Although I believe all the Europa delivered with Porsche were a knob mount type like your Blaupunkt. Dash trim is interchangeable with Blaupunkts and Beckers. Knobs can be obtained from Becker NA.

Becker would be my preference if you need an opinion. I have a Mexico, but desired a knob mount Europa before I picked up the Mexico.
