Braided oil line hose, where to buy?

I'm looking for the braded oil line hose with the blue thread running through it that could be found on early oil lines, anyone know where I can get it?

    braided oil line

I have purchased it from Chuck Moreland at Elephant Racing...7/8ths ID, as well as a very close version from a national company with a local office Parker Store.

    Hi Casey,

The original black steel braided hose with the blue tracer was made by Techno-Chemie (now owned by ContiTech) The other hose supplier to Porsche was Cohnen (now Cohline). The Cohline hose has a clear cad wire braid with an orange tracer. Cohline still makes a similar hose. I do not think ContiTech still sells the black/blue hose. Would be nice if they did.

There are two sized used. The larger diameter hose (short hose) is used from the oil tank to the oil cooler and the small diameter hose (long hose) is the return from engine back to the tank. I have both sizes in the Cohline hose which is the correct metric size. The picture shows a couple lines for a '68 911 I made. If you have crimped fittings rather than the field change ends I can help you there as well with the ferrules and I will crimp the hose for you.

If you have the old hose hang onto it. I am working on a project where I remove the braiding and reuse it on new hose.

    Best regards,

    Brad
