    SWB Driver's Manual: 911T?

I have a question about Driver's Manuals for SWB cars. I have a nice one that says "Type 911T" and "Edition X/67" on the first page. The front cover has a large maroon rectangle on the top and a smaller yellow (Bahama Yellow? ) on the bottom. The top says "911T" and the bottom says "Porsche Driver's Manual". The designation "911T" is repeated throughout the manual.

I have never heard of '67 non-S's referred to as T's before. I always thought they were just called Normals (or Normales).

    ???

Edition X/67 is printed in October 1967 so its for a 1968 MY 911T.
BTW, Manuals have not been always updated in their photographic contents as long as the technical info was correct.

    John,
The '68 911 T was for the ROW markets.
The manual (in English?) you have is probably for the RHD markets,ie, England,Australia,South Africa etc.
Is it original ? ie cream coloured binding ?
Years ago I test drove one here but was put off buying by the chronic plug fouling - maybe I should have flogged it harder but how much can you flog 110 hp ??

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

Karim & Dennis - thanks for the input. Yes, it appears to be for the '68 MY. It does have pictures of both RHD and LHD cars. It is useful for my '67 as things are very similar (well, at least when mine was stock), but I would like to have a MY '67 if anyone has one they would like to trade.

BTW, the manual was given to me in an act of sheer generosity by one of our board members (thank you Ian).

I'm in the same boat. I have a NOS US 68 Normal Owners Manual and would love to have a correct US 67 Normal Owners Manual for my 67 Normal.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
