Early 70’s Non Porsche Period Correct Car Audio

I’m thinking of going “non-Porsche” period correct since the Kardex does not show a radio.

While I am inclined to replace the Alpine in the ’72 T I just bought (Thanks Mark) with a McIntosh MX 406. I have a working in-dash Audiovox AM/FM 8-track, and matching under dash 25watt amp that are early to mid 70’s. This would allow me to take advantage of the 8-track collection.

I’m just trying to recall the aftermarket units that were available in the ‘70’s and could only come up with 6 besides the standard Porsche units of Becker, Blaupunkt & Phillips. Most others started in the late 70's early 80's.

Here's another one for you. A pic of the Clarion, AM/FM, 8-track that was inexpertly hacked into my 71E resto project. I am seeking an Becker Europa II to replace it, but it is kind of appealing in a funky-cool way... and the 8-tracks would sound cool accompanied by the vintage road noise from the radial tires that were on my car, as well. Well...maybe not.
