Carmel by the Sea Concours on the Avenue 2009

The online application for the Carmel Concours is now available.

    http://carmelconcours.com/
    http://carmelconcours.com/PDF_EntryForm.pdf

Porsche is the featured Marque at Laguna Seca this year, I suggest you get your application in EARLY

It would be special to have many S Registry/R Gruppe cars there.

I displayed my Targa there last year, IMHO, it was the BEST Concours for the money...FREE to the public in downtown Carmel as viewer...VALUE for your entry fee as a owner

I assume this is on during Historics week then? If it is I'll make an effort to get there.

I've just booked my airticket from Sydney, Australia for Monterey, so I'm fairly excited about the prospect. I arrive August 10/11. Last time I made the trip was 1998... now that was an event.

Concours On The Avenue is great!

In my humble opinion this event is well worth the effort. They treat you first class throughout the event. The setting on Ocean Ave is wonderful. The cars are placed and presented very well. The people involved with the event and the public all seem to really enjoy themselves. The awards (sadly I didn't win any) were top shelf as were the perks. My entry fee included two nice directors chairs, a leather and canvas coach bag, lunch, an event catalog, an event poster, and much more.

The judges were friendly and helpful. They spent a good amount of time with each car and owner going over the car and discussing the owners history and involvment with the car. They even stopped by later on to offer information and sources to correct issues they saw while judging. I don't know if that was part of the program but it was certainly a nice touch and a certainly a comment on the type of people they select as judged.

If you're considering this event, JUST DO IT! I don't think you'll be disappointed in any way.
