    If you look close, they all have a black license plate hanging from the rear. Those 935's at idle, coming down the start ramp ... wow! They sound like top fuel dragsters.

    I was lucky to see those Lancias run at the 6 Hour World Championship for Makes race at the Glen in 1980. Patrese won it in a Lancia over a BIG field of 935s.

    Fangio & Moss. They were leading Le Mans when Levegh went into the crowd. MB pulled out. Fangio never won at Le Mans, but he won fully half the races he finished, including 5 WC titles with 4 different makes. Arguably the best two drivers ever, together, the best pair - a virtually unbeatable team.

    Curt, yours is certainly one of the most interesting pairings ever! For Porsches, you would think Jackie Ickx paired with someone would probably be near the top.
