I don't know if this helps Rick but eaby seller Maria Habeck in Germany has these new ones available for 44 euros each:

I have bought many parts from her over the years & have always found her great to deal with.

    Andy, Here's the rub.
I am restoring 3 73 RS's. Stoddard also sells repro's. The people who are remanufacturing these are plating these in Yellow cad. The proper color is zinc.(silver) So I want to get some nice cores so I can take them apart and replate them in the proper color, and then put them back together. You can buy these from Porsche by part number, but they come through black.
Does this woman in Germany sell other Porsche items?

I know what you mean Rick - I bought some from Porsche last year for one of my cars & was disappointed to find when they arrived that they had a (cheap-looking) black finish.

The German ebay seller in my link above has an extensive range of Porsche parts - but many of them are repro items.

I have a pair the metal is good clean not rusty and plastic is nice on the long curve but at the top the plastic is disintegrating...is this restorable?

2:23pm correction the long curve is at the top so the bottom is not well seen but for an RS you have to use
    perfect ones...

comparing it to a good one I see those above wont do....I have yet to take apart another 67 where parts are quite excellent.
I will check...assuming 67 latches will do I believe both are present and likely good (low mileage Canadian rustbucket)

OOPS! sorry for d double post

    Plastic/nylon spacers

Does anyone have a source for replacement for the Nylon and plastic spacers to rebuild these. Most of the ones I have, the plastic has turned to the consistency of dried soap and flaked away.

The plastic is not available. The spacers that go between the reciever itself and the lock post are. I guess I'll need to buy new ones, take them apart, replate them the right color, and then put them back together. As Bob said, the plastic tends to yellow, and then fall apart.
