    Cost to restore an interior?

I'm trying to put together a budget for a project. How much would it cost to have a complete interior except dash and steering wheel done for a 1966? I have cores for the seats and door panels. I'd like to send the seats and door panels out and have the carpet installed locally. I'd like to use German vinyl and square weave.
    Thanks,
    Alan

    Call Tony at Autobahn Interiors

Figure about $600 to install the carpet?? I guess it kinda depends on who you end up using. You can probably save $$ by ripping it out yourself, but if it's a non porsche guy doing the carpet, you may want to leave it in so they can see how it's supposed to look..meaning where it's supposed to tuck in, how the binding is supposed to look, how the kick panel pockets "should" look, etc.

or - if you want the full Concours monty - Call Paterek Brothers 973 635 5924.
IMO, the best in the country, and will cost a fortune.

Thanks guys. How much do you think the seats will cost? With Eric's estimate for carpet and the seats that should cover most of the cost. The last person I talked to did an interior in the early 90s. His cost for the entire job is about the same as the cost for the materials today. Ouch!

    Cost to restore an interior

I have a 67S that one day I am going to have Tony do the interior on. My interior needs everything done to it. I have a very rough estimate from Tony of $6K not including installation. That may not include plating which needs to be done on mine as well. Like everything else on these cars, nothing is cheap and if it is, move on as it is probably junk.

I usually budget $5K for an interior which usually gets it done. Haven't had one done in a while though.

Tony did a complete interior in leather and houndstooth (std seats) for about $4k not including install or dash. A complete 73 targa core interior was sent. I thought that this was a smokin' price, but he may have been slow at the time and offered great pricing to get our business. He did an awesome job on it with pretty quick turnaround time.
