Thanks, Bob. Can't wait to see it.

I had hoped to put a disclaimer in there which read, "I've known this guy for over ten years and we are still good friends", or something like that.

I really liked this article because it was written about a guy who has driven his 73S 120k miles on roads and tracks over 20 years, by a guy who has many years of similar driving with his 72S....2 amigos basking in the memories of feeling strong g forces, a twitching steering wheel, and a notchy gear lever...all while being serenaded by a high revving MFI song that only an early 911 can sing.

It is a little nostalgia wrapped up in a great story that shines the light on what true joyful ownership of an early 911S really means. It also quietly shows how an early 911S when used by a real enthusiast the way it was meant to be used over time becomes what some of us call an R Gruppe car (no longer stock).

Thanks to both Chuck and Randy for sharing your friendship and kinship with us.

    Thanks guys,

The whole Excellence experience really couldn't have been any better...

I picked my buddy Randy up from the airport and we spent the next 4 days doing the RGruppe Treffin '08 together. We did the trip, the track, the fun runs, the dinners, and just hanging out together. Sometimes he'd tape recorder what we were saying, and most of the time he was taking pictures... It was VERY natural, low pressure, and comfortable......... just like hang'n with your bud should be....
But all the while you knew Randy kind'a knew what he wanted and he got there with a very comfortable, casual, professionalism...........
You just felt the outcome was going to be very cool even in spite of me just do'n my usual thing.....

Hope I get to see the issue soon.....
