    Introducing myself

    Hi everybody
This my introduction to this fantastic forum.
My name – Pedro Mendes from Portugal, 49, media publisher.
I’ve been around for some years now, more exactly since 2006, reading this incredible posts, learning from your unbelievable knowledge and most of all having lots of fun and spending very nice moments in your company.
In my life, Porsche has a very special meaning, from the moment my father bought his new 911 E in 1970 (I was 11 years old), to the time I was able to buy my first one, twelve years ago, a 911 S 74 2,7.
    From then I was lucky enough to own a 73 Carrera RS #1230, a 71 911S #684, a 70 911T (ST project, sold before completion), not to mention a 964, a 993 and 2 996s.
So I can say that I’ve been preparing to finally introduce myself to such prestigious Porsche “connoisseurs”!
So now it´s the time to start asking some questions and try to get myself some advantage of your knowledge.
I´m about to buy a new car, another 1971 911S #53, this time a car with some light racing preparation.
I’m sending some pictures hoping to receive some comments,
I’ll be driving the car, and giving it a deep inspection during the next weekend, and I´ll send you my first impression by Sunday, probably with some doubts and questions.
I hope on gaining your attention and help, and hopefully also contribute to this forum.
    Pedro

Do you know Vasco and Jorge, two of your portugese brethern whom i had the pleasure of meeting @ RSiii and subsequently Vasco again on a cross country trip to california?
