    Pharr Yarns 1973 RSR (Vin#9113600756)

I noticed this full page ad of this car on p.75 of the March 2009 issue of Sports Car Market magazine. I couldn't find anything with a search.

Is anyone familiar with the car?

It is noted as the 1973 Porsche Carrera RSR (Vin# 9113600756). It is said to have been sold to Grey Egerton in June 1973 with production #1034970. It has history at Sebring, Daytona, Laguna Seca (a win), and Watkins Glen.

A 2.8RSR engine has been completely rebuilt to factory specs (it doesn't really state the engine is original). It goes on to state that the car was sold in 1986 to Lloyd Hawkins who completed a 10 year restoration. It is Light Yellow and wears the Pharr Yarns sponsorship along with the car number 81.

Thanks Gib, I have no idea why my research of the Vin didn't show it?

It is being offered by David at the same email address.

    Pharr Yarns 1973 RSR

Dang, all this talk about the wonderful RSR cars are driving me crazy for selling mine (9114609113) over 20 yrs ago. What a dummy I was but I do enjoy reading about these that were underappreciated back then.
