If I understand correctly what it is you're trying to do, it should be a 5mm allen head. Maybe yours are rounded out.

Thanks. Yes, it is (or in the case of three of them, was) 5mm allen. Now for the easy-out. Brian

With the seat removed you may even want to try using a set of Vise-Grips.
I used a drill to get the heads off, then some WD40, and they came out with a plier. You can also cut a slot in them for a screwdriver.

If the allen heads are not too far gone, go to Sears and get a hand held impact wrench; the one that you hit with a hammer while you twist the barrel counter clock wise. It's the only tool I use to remove Allen head bolts- especially 6 mm x1 seat rail bolts. You might have to use an extension and/or half inch to 3/8 inch adaptor to make it work. Contolled violence is sometimes the answer.

If you need a few of these bolts to replace yours you had to destroy, PM me. I've collected a few of these over the years, happy to donate some to a worthy restoration cause.
