'73 T 2.7RS spec.
I chose the real Mexico from the 70's. It doesn't have gps, but it does have ipod. IMHO, you really don't need a 1300 stereo head unit in a vintage Porsche - unless its the old mexico.

a friend installed one in his stock impact bumper 3.2 carrera.
it was a fancy piece of kit, but in that car it looks maybe a touch too modern and slightly out of place, - in a longhood i would guess it would look super space-age futuristic. cool bit of expensive gear though, cooler looking than most others that are available today if you must buy new. it's very good at what it does. (everything)
i heard a story that becker couldn't make them for a long while last year because of copyright infringement on the gps or the mp3 player programming or something?? maybe its a rumour.
i go old school and listen to crackly original radio and the engine.

Yes, I installed the becker mexico (new radio, old looks) and I am very happy.
you can hide the gprs antenna in the dash-speaker area.
Best radio for the early 911! Price is a bit heavy though.
It looks absolutely fantastic in the car and using bluetooth, navi and mp3 playing works flawless. I use orange display background for my orange car!
I will post fotos next week.

Hi All,
I had contacted Becker Germany to see if they were willing to import it into the US and/or accomodate the US frequencies.
....at this time we have no interest to sell the Becker Mexico in the US due to........
would have been such a nice addition to our classic cars....

Hi,
if there are some interest I could easily ship a few radios to the US. The cheapest online price I could find in short was 900 Euro (round about $1150) for the Becker Mexico 7942 (I think that is a cheaper version with extra Sim slot for the phone card) or $1480 for the High end Mexico 7948.
Shipping should be around $50.
Just let me know.
Thanks Yeti
@ Yeti:
Wouldn't a comercial add in the Esses magazine or at least in the classified sales section make more sense for your comercial business offer?
Thank you
Andreas
Hi,
well I do not have any profit for this - I just offer my private help just in case any here on the board is interested in the Becker Mexico. You just pay what I have to pay at the Stores and in the post office
Thanks Yeti
