    Long Tail RSR / Watkins Glen, Le Mans, etc

    R4 and R7 were modified by the factory and used in several races as a long tail configuration. Seen some of the pics posted here, armando's site, but not many close ups that show the differences between the two.
    Would appreciate pics and any other details you might know of the cars specifically in this unusual body

    When Bob Johnson found 0588 (R6) it had the long tail on it....pretty sure it's the Sunoco car you've shown.

    Besides the obvious bodywork and center locks/ 917 rims, what other mods did these specials have? 3 liter slide valve? what else? RSR short trailing arms? fuel system mods?

    Yep...#588 pretty much has all the '74 RSR stuff.....3.0L with slides, short arms, center-locks.
