The BIN seems reasonable - assuming this car is everything as represented, I'm betting it's gone by the weekend...
Looks very nice.

I wish it were a factory sunroof, although I remember American as being a very good company for added sunroofs.

I'm in touch with a '67 912 with a factory sunroof. Pretty decent car actually. What premium would you assign for the s/r?
Thanks,

The same premium as a 911 with a sunroof vs not.

I would pay more for a non sunroof than with one. I didn't think you'd pay more for a sunroof. Maybe on 912's it's more rare to have one?
72S, 72T now ST
Sorry, John. They are fairly rare on the 912's. About 300 made in each year of production as best I can figure. So, since they made about 8000 912's a year in 66 - 68, I'd say they were pretty rare. Until recently, 912 were ignored by the community and therefore many more of them went back to dust compared to the beloved 356 and 911. I my view, I'd say that makes the 912 sunroof pretty rare and maybe more so than the 911 sunroof.
As to dollar amounts...I'd pay way more for a sunroof car. Maybe $5-8,000 or maybe more for a car in near perfect trim. This is my humble opinion and assumes that I know what I'm talking about and it is a factory installed sunroof.

Thanks, Jeff.
OK, the car that I'm looking at is a '67 912 with factory sunroof. Owned by the original owner's son. Spent most of its time in NorCal, been in the son's garage in Oregon for the past 8 years. Originally white, repainted silver. No accidents, minimal rust. Mechanics good. All records since new. Not doted on, but not molested. Could be outstanding for not too much $$ with elbow grease, paint, some interior work, etc., probably $10K of work (plus the elbow grease). Figure I can buy it for $8,500. Good deal?
Thanks,
