This one-of-a-kind car that is truly an outstanding example. No corners were cut when this car was created just a few thousand miles ago. It (along with the owner) is well known in the Early 911 S and R Gruppe community. The work that has gone into making this car is absolutely spectacular. The deep black paint is one of the best I’ve seen. The finish throughout the car is truly stunning.
The best part is the way this car drives. It is so solid and smooth that it drives like new. Don’t be mistaken, this is not one of those “hotrods” that has been modified to the point that it is tough to drive. This drives just like an early 911 should (with an extra punch to it). The motor was carefully built with factory RS pistons and an aluminum case so that it would last. Plus, under low RPM and around town, it is very drivable like a stock 911. But, when you give it throttle, the 240hp motor really has some strong torque and makes it simply a joy to drive.
Clean and correct early cars are hard to come by and the soft window targas “S” cars are becoming even more rare and sought after. This is one of the better examples I have seen and definitely the best I have driven.
Everything about this car is not only done right, but with taste. From the fantastic paintwork, to the correct wheel finish (15.5”x5” wheels finished to look like 4.5” wheels) there is nothing to fault. The wheels are wearing a new set of Pirelli CN36 Cinturano tires, which give it just the right finish. The leather full-tilt sport seats (finished by Autos International) are factory seats that really give this car a great look especially paired with the 380mm steering wheel. The seats side and lumbar were padded with memory foam to give extra support and comfort.
The owner of this car is extremely picky and has a great eye for details. He likes very nice cars and won’t spare any expense to make sure that cars like this are the best. In fact, he just had Patrick Motorsports go through the entire car to make sure everything was as it should be. Any small detail that needed attention was taken care of. Jim Patrick, himself, drove the car and was absolutely impressed with how well and tight the car drove. He said that so often people overdo these cars but this one was true to its original intention.
This is one of those cars you must see in person to truly appreciate.
The car comes complete with original manuals, tool kit, and keys.
