Are they really that rare - and command that type of price?

    Stu,

The book itself not that rare... 3000 copies were printed in English and 3000 in German. However, it is rare to find an English copy for sale because the book is so comprehensive most people don't want to part with such a great source of infomation.

If you speak/read German you can still get a new 17 year old copy from TAG Verlag for €246,40.

    Strategy..

Interesting strategy having your auction end before the other one..On the one hand, if there are two guys fighting it out, you will benefit from that, but once yours is sold, the next guy may get a bargain..on the other hand, you may set the market..time will tell..

I listed mine on ebay last Sunday evening but only ever have my auctions run for 7 days - Jack Olsen listed his on Monday with the auction running for 14 days.

Jack's highest bid is already over $2000 ...
