A rare non-NASCAR show this Sunday 3PM EST !
Speed TV Schedule
I long for the days when Speedvision was king. They showed everything from ice-racing to airshows to boatshows. And very little NASCRAP.
I truly miss it...

Curt I wonder if anyone has been able to view as an online watching venue? Similar to www.myp2p.eu etc. I nicked speedvision on my cable listings when I got tired of too much roundy-rounds. I've got a fantastic online connection...
Love the Mini and MINI Cooper icons speed used! I wrote up a nice little MINI Cooper history on the targa years.

Hope Jim Kenzie makes it back in 2009! Look out for the giant killer...
I think the Discovery channel is now the car channel to watch

I was able to see the first 15 minutes. Great atmosphere and some very interesting cars. Enjoyed the interviews with some of the drivers. The BMW 2002 was leading at the time. Anyone know who won? I was struck by the fact that this race is run on public roads. Can you imagine a race like that in this country? The race through the residential area was very entertaining. Thanks for the heads up Curt.

The '02 won when the 535s suspension broke on the last stage. Boy that looks like fun. I think the guy in the blue Nova must have had some pull with the camera man, he seemed to be featured in every segment.

I would've liked to seen a lot more of Frank Sprongl in the quattro! But I guess everyone has their favorites What a unique event.
Sprongl made a nice maneuver around the car who had it in reverse after missing a turn. Earlier this afternoon on HD Theater (I think), was the Classic Car program. One of three cars featured was the ur Quattro. It was filmed in England with driving commentary. He was certainly enthusiastic about the revolutionary all wheel drive.
