    Found 67/Project Completed!

Not much of a photo taker so enjoy what you can. It took three years to accomplish the task but we made it. Still, I have several details to complete. Fresh bare metal two-stage buffed mirrior finish, no rust, straight panels, new upholstry with S trim, freshened 911S engine with rebuilt webbers and new SSI exhaust, S brakes, exterior S trim, front oil cooler, new seals, and on-and-on. Once I have all the final details worked out, I will have to let it go. If you know of a person looking for a restored 67, send them my way. All but the chasis number on the car is an S. Thank you guys for all the valuable information given during the process. Regards, Freddie

    Great license plate!

    Dem's my initials...

I'm the guy with the #54 Race 911, painted in the Ivory that (apparently)inspired you in the first place. The car looks like it turned out very well. I wish you the best of luck on the sale.

    Cheers
    R/Thom

PS - If the situation arises (long shot, I know...) would you consider selling me that license plate?

DEM, thanks. Yes your car is still an inspiration to me. Been without work since June of last year so things are scanty. The plates on the car stay with the car. It's like my right eye it's part of the body. Cheers!

    "DEM" aren't my initials...
"TMK" are my initials, "Dem" was a poor play on the word "them"
and yes, I totally understand about the license plate.

Again - best of luck. Especially with being able to go back to work, hopefully soon. Where is Martinez?

    Cheers

Freddie, I have enjoyed all your informative posts about this project. You are a true craftsman. I don'see why you can't find some work along restoration lines. You might have to travel out of your samll town, though.

    Anyway, beautiful car!!

    Talking

Martinez is a small city of 36,715 residents, 12.47 square miles, where parents raise their children, antique stores fill the downtown, and Amtrak stops daily. It is the home of "Joltin" Joe DiMaggio, a local boy who made good.

Don Ygnacio Martinez, the early 19th century commandante of the Presidio of San Francisco, received a 17,000-acre land grant from the Mexican government in 1824 that first brought him to the Alhambra Valley. In 1829, he received a land grant to Rancho El Pinole on the southern bank of the Carquinez Strait, and it is from this particular grant that the City later rose. The City was named after Martinez in 1849. Want more?????

Zeke, thanks. My Porsche restoration hobby for over 20 years has now become my line of work since last June. I have been working out of home in a small shop and painting at a local booth. If there are any members out there needing high quality work that is affordable, let be of service. Cheers!
