Its an honest car, that is ready to use & enjoy at a very fair price.

I was interested in this car at classic showcase, seems to be the one in this thread, but now restored.

No idea, it looks as though it had been white, from reading this thread, and then when the restoration was done they painted it silver. Same vin, and same engine number. I'm glad to have seen this though, it's good to know that the current paint is not the original color. As original paint, or at least original color is of interest to me when considering an early 911.

And to add, back in the summer of '09, the current owners were asking 85k. The same owners listed this car on ebay a few weeks ago with a no reserve auction, with starting bid at $60k. It ended with zero bids.

Yep, and before that it got to (only) $28.7 (not too bad actually for a color changed "normal"). IMHO, VERY difficult to make money on restoring most cars..live and learn...and study and read...mags like "Sports Car Market" Thanks.

Just curious, what kind of value would you guys place on this? It seems like it would be a very solid platform, at the very least there should be no rust issues. Also, if it is numbers matching except for the paint, add another $15k for a fresh ivory paintjob, and then it becomes a much better example. What would a normal 67 with a correct restoration bring?
