1967 912/911 Race Car
VIN 459569
Engine #6195011
$13,500
This is an excellent opportunity to purchase an early 912/911 race car for a fraction of the cost to build. This car was raced 8-10 years ago in local RMVR events. Since then a roll cage was professionally installed along with the dry sump oil system and wiring loom. The car has not been driven during this time by the present ownership. The following modifications and upgrades include.
Engine – The engine presently installed is a 1969 911T, 2.0 L, type 911/07 case, and a recent leak test down showed: #1 – 5%, #2 – 5%, #3 – 7%, #4 – 5%, #5 – 5% and #6 – 10%. P&C along with heads were upgraded to S specs to keep it competitive. Carrera chain tensioners were installed as were Weber carburetors, a front oil cooler with thermostat and three gallon oil tank, using braided oil lines, and an MSD ignition system and a Flow Master exhaust was installed.
Chassis – A professionally built roll cage was fabricated and installed, as well as a 15 gallon fuel cell. The floor and gas tank support pan are not rusted. However, the rocker panels were poorly patched on both sides. The car was recently painted light grey.
Suspension & Brakes – Weltmeister sway bars, front and rear, a front strut tower brace and Bilstein shocks were installed. The brake system includes new rotors, 911S calipers, front and rear, as well as a dual circuit master cylinder, and AP brake fluid reservoir. The car is equipped with 6” X 15” deep dish Fuchs wheels and OLD race tires, not suitable for use.
There is also ‘T’ long block available with purchase. It was running 6 years ago, however the carburetors were removed.
The sale includes a set of early Recaro seats and the car can only be sold with a Bill Of Sale. The car is located in Denver, Colorado and available for inspection during business hours.
