    The unbreakable RS door pull

No more broken plastic door pull for me.
It is my 4th set in 2 1/2 years.

I would like to know if you interested in this door pull.
The prototype duplicated from the original black plastic door pull.
Milled from solid aluminum with brass pivot.

The shop has to polish the surface to get rid of all scrape marks.
I really don't like the shinny look, so I went over it with old Scotchbrite.

If I have more than 10 responds then I will have them made.
The shop needs 3-4 weeks to complete 40 to 50.
I'll put it in buy it now ebay for $35.00 each.
$10.00 air freight for a pair from Bangkok to anywhere.

I also looking into anodized option but don't want to increase the cost.
I'll let you know when I can find out the anodized cost.
    Thanks
    Burint

    Hi Burint

Very cool! I'd be in for a pair of black ones once you get a price.

    Cheers

Very nice. I think black anodized is the ticket (or whatever finish to better replicate the original look). Despite an increase in cost, I think you'd get more buyers.

    +1 on the black anodized

+1 on the black anodized. I'm in for a few sets if you can work through the color process detail. I also agree that the $$ difference won't chase away those that would have an interest.

    Guys,
    Thanks for interested.
The cost I got from the anodize guy is $10 more on each black anodized.
I'll check the price on the black powder coat too.

The better price I get from them, the cheaper price for you.
    I'll keep you posted.

Satin Black Powder Coat may be the way to go

    Hi Burint,
Good thought....Satin Black Powder Coat may be the way to go. It should give a nice "plastic" appearance, which would probably be closer to the original look than black anodized. Just my .02

2 pair black anodized or powder. I could do either State-side if need be.

I'm in for 1 pair in black. These are so close that I'll ask if it would be possible to make them even better. The grooves on the originals squared off rather than tapered, the concave areas on part that screws to the door are different, and the hinge area on the handle is narrower than your sample. I expect that many of us would be happy to pay extra for the extra work. If that doesn't work out we'll still be happy!

    Thanks,
    Alan
