    Going to the Sun Rally

Looking through my Vintage Motorsport 2009 Annual 'The Year in Pictures' I see Jeff and Julie Dreebin's pretty '69S partisapating in the 'Going to the Sun Rally' in Montana......

Wondering if Jeff and Julie are part of our community......

    Chuck,

I just had dinner with Mark and Julie (and several other good friends) last Saturday evening. He is building something special for the back compartment of his '69S. Yes, he is a lurker here on the Boards so maybe this photo will bring him out for a comment or two about his ride and the Rally.

Edit: Oops, sorry Mark for putting your wife and Jeff together at dinner.

    Hi Chuck,

As Brian said, have been lurking here for years (Mark, not Jeff)...........

The S is mine and not Jeff's. He recently bought Joey B's orange R-Gruppe T with the rally hood lights and the hot motor (ex Chris Huergas). I loaned the S to Jeff for the Going to the Sun Rally. My car for the rally had an unfortunate DNF the first day and the driver picture in Vintage Motorsport photo is actually me. Jeff was in the right hand seat. Big unexpected bright spot of the rally, was the generosity everyone showed me when my car rode the trailer. I was loaned daily, quite a diverse group of cars for the next 4 days. Unbeliveable!!!
Photo below is of Jeff standing to the left with Randy Stenson and myself under the hood trying to get my 1st ride going again, '69 S in the back ground. It was perfect.

    Mark,

One of the best parts of the story was Randy's adventure to find points for your car. Only Stenson could find those parts in the middle of Montana ranch country.
