    headlight - break light problem

    Hello,

I am having some electical problems and trying to solve. ( on my 71 911T)

This started after crossing a railway at too high speed. ( what an idiot )

The left headlight is working but not the right one ( no low and no high)

idem for the right rear brake light when breaking and when use of the headlight.

Maybe a relay problem ( but where is the relay ? under the wood board ?)

    or ??

If you have a thread to recommand of any action.

    Thank you

Really doubt its a fuse problem. A few guesses: Check your fuse blocks for cracks. Check your fuses for proper fit and tightness of all screws holding the wires to the screws. The dimming problem sounds like a ground problem. Check you bulb connections - and maybe slightly bend the tabs for better contact.

I am sure someone else will chime in. Good luck.

    headlight - break light problem

There is only one relay called a switch over relay which would affect both lights, so that must be okay. There is a different fuse for each beam of the each headlight. Check for voltage on both sides of the fuse to see if you're losing the circuit before or after the fuses. If you have 12 volts on the load side of the fuse then remove the headlight and unplug the connector, see if you have 12 volts there. (white is high beam, yellow is low beam) Checking all this will at least tell you if the problem is before or after the fuse block.

    thank you for the support.

we worked today and found at least that there is a contact problem on the rear light . still working on the front without solution so far.

Anybody has a clear description of the pin ( what pin for what use to see if we have the correct voltage when playing with the headlight switch ?)for the front and rear connectors ( playing with the brakes) ?

    Thank you very much
