Easter Drive - Sydney to Kiama

Just thought i'd post a few pictures from the Easter trip. Family were camping down the south coast (approx 100 miles south of Sydney), so my wife and the three children drove down on the thursday night, whilst i negotiated (don't ask the consideration !) to drive down on friday morning via the country route

Route is a pretty one if one gets off the freeways. Through the Royal National Park (Australia is still part of the British Commonwealth ...), over the Sea Bridge (a cliff road ... now built out into the sea after so many rock falls) and through Wollongong (aboriginal name of course, of which there are many !). And down to Kiama.

On easter monday (this morning), i took an inland route back, through Jambaroo, Robertson, Picton and came into Sydney from the South West. Had to complete the final part on the freeway, but overall, a great little 250 mile drive.

Car pulls back into the drive to meet its Tangerine big brother (which is too tempting to take out on a public holiday weekend, the police are out in force, and fine you "double points" ... meaning you can lose your licence for 3 months if you speed twice over the limit .... it's a nanny state ... !!

.... i could have taken the Series 1 landrover if i was that concerned i guess .... .!!!

(sorry, i was alone, so it's just pictures of my car stopped by the road ... but some good countryside !). Photos not up to Bob T's standard (yet) ...

Great looking car. Photos and scenery are beautiful. I trust you enjoyed the drive through the more secluded back-country twisties.

Nice set of pics. I think the wet ground shots are the best with the saturated colors. You guys ever notice the wet ground technique used in movies to saturate the colors? Great color and love the wheel finish.
Favorite shot is the wet shot, foggy background with decaying barns. Like how the tree on the right helps frame the picture.
Now I am a fairly morbid guy. Always prefer a tragedy over a happy ending. Love me a good vampire movie (ck out Let the Right One In - Swedish movie about a 13 year old girl vampire) but the graveyard shots throw me off. Love to juxtapose but cars and graveyards...
