    paint code mystery question

    Hi All,
    I could use some help deciphering an odd paint code- it is off of my 69S. I am all thumbs on posting images and the car is currently in the shop so I cannot easily post an image of the tag. But I copied down the info- the number is so large it is running in two lines that are actually directly below the usual stamping area for paint codes- the first reads 76-81-9101-H, and the second line reads 77-94-0503

    The bill of sale does show special paint as an option, and the cost listed was something like 265.00 if I remember correctly. Any help would be much appreciated- thanks!

    That would be silver metallic. What is your VIN (for my research records).

    I've got a 1969 912 Targa with an identical paint code. Metallic Silver it is.
