Hi John,
Here are some pictures. The Hirschman antenna cable is the same as used on 356 (not sure about the length)
Thanks Brad!
I need to remove the drivers side door so I can get to my original antenna that has been hidden under the non-original fender by a previous owner. Is there a trick to getting the hinge pin out? I whacked on it for a minute with a big, long screwdriver but the angle is terrible and it moved not a mm. Thanks in advance!

You're doing the right thing by wanting to remove the hinge pins (won't lose door alignment) but they can be a bear to get out without the Porsche tool, which is a slide hammer affair and makes short work of it. I now have that tool, but years ago before I got it I was able to make a universal door hinge tool from Mac (or Matco) work well enough to get the job done. You need to look into that tool set as you just aren't going to get them out with the method you're using. If you have access to a air hammer with some blunt punch ends you might be able to use that in conjunction with the universal kit. The air hammer will supply more force in a tight space than you can. Don't forget to disconnect the door stop to open the door further for more access.

Thanks, Ed. This isn't the first time you've helped me, but you probably don't remember me. Back in 1998 or so, I lived near Dallas for about a year due to a temporary job relocation. I was driving my previous '68, and I came by your shop to talk about seat belt options. I wanted to buy a set of lap belts, and you told me they were unsafe and you wouldn't sell them to me! I appreciated your concern for my safety, since I drove the car regularly. You also cleaned up my original H-1 headlight assemblies so I could reinstall them on the car. Here's a pic of my previous car. Boy do I wish I had kept it...
