    1972 Paint Code Plate - Help Please

    My brain is on fire... Too much to do and too little time to do it in.

    Can y'all help me out with the correct digits on what the paint code plate is supposed to say?

    That depends. 131-x-y
    x= factory 9= Porsche, 8 =Karmann I believe but no confirmation
    y= 1,2,3 depending on supplier, who was yours, does it matter?
    What is your VIN? I have little data to go on yet, so perhaps several forum members can help out.

    Stu:

    I posted a reply but it has disappeared...strange.

    My light yellow 72T has 117-9-1, the 72 T Kremer ST has 415-9-2 (orig. Sepia), and my former silver 72S had 936-9-2 . The last digit is for the paint supplier: 1=Lesonal, 2=Glasurit.

    So mine would be 131-9-2

    131 = light ivory

    9 = Porsche

    2 = Glasurit

    Right?!
