Correct orientation of 901 trans mount metal washers

It's not clear in the parts reference I have.....do the concave metal washers on the 901 trans mount mount so the concave side is towards the rubber, like the rear engine mounts?

In other words, do they go like this: ()

    Or this: ((

    Around the rubber?

    Thanks!!

This results in better shift quality but more vibration.

This is the smoothest configuration but the shifting under load is not as nice.
